The Skirr are BACK!!

It seems like an eternity since we last shared any news and for that we can only apologise. Whilst we’ve been quiet, we’ve certainly not been inactive and we are finally ready to let you know what we’ve been up to!

Over the last 4-5 months we’ve been working on some brand new material. We parted ways with Stewart back in May and Gus is now providing the lower frequencies via his lovely violin type bass guitar. The change in line up has been extremely positive and has pushed us to write new music which we’re really excited to show you over the next few weeks and months.

We’ve now only got 1 or 2 tickets left!!

With that said, we’d like to announce some live shows. These will be your first opportunity to see us as a three-piece and hear our new material. First up, we’re supporting Rage Cave on Friday 11th November as they release their debut EP at The Freebird in Newcastle under Lyme. Also on the line up are Filth and Lost Notes. The show is likely to be sold out but we do have a couple of tickets left so get in touch ( if you’d like to come along! Full details at

The next date for your diary is Saturday 17th December when we’ll be supporting ALMA at what should have an evening of high energy grunge and punk rock at The Underground in Hanley. More details to follow!

Finally, we’re excited to tell you that we’ve booked some studio time with the wonderfully talented Ryan Pinson. Ryan produced Little Sister for us and we’re thrilled to be working with him again. We’ll be heading to the studio in January and looking to share the results with you all shortly afterwards. In the meantime, here’s Little Sister for you again.

See you all soon!

Chris, Gus and Matt x
